Thousand Islands PMPTSP Facilitates Homestay Owners to Obtain Business Permit

Thousand Islands Investment and One-Stop Integrated Service (PMPTSP) Unit facilitates homestay owners, especially who live in inhabited islands, who want to apply for Tourism Business Registration Certificate (TDUP).

Through business permit, Regency can collect taxes for regional income

Thousand Islands PMPTSP Unit Head, Erwin said, as the part of national tourism strategic areas (KSPN), the existing homestay should have TDUP and it can be additional income for the region.

"Through business permit, Regency can collect taxes for regional income," he mentioned, Thursday (9/10).

Homestay Owners Must Actively Participate in Preventing COVID-19

Based on data from Thousand Islands Parekraf Sub-agency, there are 1,395 homestay units in inhabited islands and not all of them have business permit due to constraints on several requirements.

"We will simplify the process as long as there is a commitment to complete the lack of requirements," he asserted.

According to data, there are 213 homestay units in Untung Jawa Island, 364 homestay units in Tidung Island, 340 homestay units in Pari Island, 317 homestay units at Pramuka Island, 38 homestay unit at Kelapa Island, and 113 homestay units in Harapan Island.

"The owners can come directly to PTSP office at local urban village offices or regency office to apply for their business permits," he closed.
